About this course
📚 Prerequisites
This is an expert-level course intended for experienced professionals in the field of cybersecurity and cloud architecture. To fully benefit from the content, learners should ideally have:
• A solid understanding of Microsoft security, compliance, and identity solutions
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security tools
• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles, cloud security frameworks, and risk governance
• One or more associate-level certifications such as SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst), SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator), SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator), or AZ-500 (Security Engineer)
While these certifications are not mandatory, they are strongly recommended to ensure readiness for the advanced topics covered in SC-100.
🎯 Purpose
This course is designed to prepare professionals for the Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100) certification exam. It equips learners with the strategic and technical skills needed to design and evaluate comprehensive cybersecurity solutions across Microsoft hybrid and cloud environments.
Cybersecurity Architects are responsible for:
• Translating business requirements into secure technical architectures
• Designing Zero Trust strategies and multi-cloud security frameworks
• Coordinating across security, identity, compliance, and operations teams
• Recommending and implementing governance models, architecture decisions, and risk mitigation plans
This course is ideal for senior security engineers, cloud architects, or technical decision-makers who want to lead enterprise security strategies and governance.
🕒 Course Timing
The course is delivered through live, instructor-led sessions via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, designed for interactive, strategic-level discussions and workshops. Two flexible formats are offered:
• Evening Sessions during the week (ideal for professionals in active roles)
• Weekend Sessions
The total duration is 40 hours, organized into deep-dive sessions that balance conceptual frameworks, architectural case studies, live demonstrations, and collaborative labs.
🧪 Hands-On Labs
Given its advanced nature, the course includes scenario-driven design workshops and hands-on labs that simulate enterprise-level security challenges. Learners will:
• Design Zero Trust strategies for complex environments
• Develop security reference architectures using Microsoft Defender, Entra, and Sentinel
• Evaluate governance and compliance strategies using Microsoft Purview and Priva
• Analyze threat protection models across hybrid and multi-cloud systems
Participants are expected to use an Azure subscription (either via a free trial or existing tenant) to access the Microsoft security stack. Instructors will guide learners through architecture-focused labs that go beyond configuration and focus on strategy, integration, and optimization of Microsoft security solutions across enterprise environments.
